NEW YORK, NY --(Marketwired - March 01, 2016) - Morgan Lewis has expanded its leading outsourcing team in New York with the addition of Chambers-ranked partner Edward J. Hansen. Mr. Hansen, who practiced at Morgan Lewis from 2005-2010, rejoins the firm from another global law firm where he served as head of the outsourcing practice.

For more than two decades, Mr. Hansen has represented clients in technology transactions involving significant business change. These include information technology outsourcing, business process outsourcing, complex systems integration, managed telecommunications, and similar strategic sourcing initiatives. Working with clients from the earliest stages of transactions, he focuses on whole-deal advice that continues through the engagement's life cycle. He has advised a broad range of companies, ranging from start-up software developers to multinational corporations contracting for global systems and services.
Mr. Hansen's work has been featured in several publications, and was the subject of a case study by a respected industry consulting firm. In addition to being an active speaker and contributor to industry organizations, he is a regular guest lecturer at New York University's Executive MBA Program. Mr. Hansen has been recognized by Chambers Global,Chambers USA, and TheLegal 500 US, with Chambers USA noting that he is considered a "thought leader in the area" who is "challenging traditional ways to do outsourcing."
