KAOHSIUNG, TAIWAN--(Marketwired - Mar 2, 2016) - The 2016 Taiwan International Boat Show will be unveiled on March 10 at Kaohsiung Exhibition Center to showcase the latest designs of world leading boat-makers as well as quality marine products and related accessories of local manufacturers.
A total of 162 boat builders from both Taiwan and abroad will participate in the March 10-13 event to exhibit their latest creations while more than 110 local suppliers of marine equipment and accessories will display their latest innovations.
According to the Marine Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government, 63 yachts, sailboats and powerboats will be put on show indoors and outdoors in the Kaohsiung harbor. The boat show also demonstrates Taiwan's advanced technology and craftsmanship in yacht-building, the bureau said.
The bureau said the biggest yacht to be exhibited in the show, the second in Taiwan, is 120-feet, which is an advance from the 110-feet displayed in the first International Boat Show two years ago. The exhibition not only illustrates the latest trend and development in the world boat industry, but also promotes Taiwan's image as a world leading yacht-maker and manufacture of high-quality marine goods and equipment.
According to Showboats International's 2016 Global Order Book, Taiwan is now the fourth largest builder of yachts over 24m in length. The Kaohsiung City Government is confident in developing the city into the largest yacht-building and boat exhibition center and best supplier of yacht -related items and marine accessories, the bureau said.
The Kaohsiung International Boat Show is the largest indoor boat exhibition in Asia that showcases a variety of powerboats, vessels, accessories, maintenance services, water recreational activities, tourism and other related products and services.

The show opens to the public from March 11 to March 13 at NT$380 each.
