HOLLYWOOD, CA --(Marketwired - March 11, 2016) - Formosa Group, the most creative and well respected independent post-production sound company in the entertainment industry, has hired award-winning sound executive Paul Lipson as Vice President, Creative Services, Formosa Interactive. He and newly-appointed Vice President William "Chip" Beaman will play a pivotal role in shaping game audio growth for the company. Robert C. Rosenthal, CEO of Formosa Group, made today's announcement.

Lipson previously worked as Senior Audio Director for Microsoft Studios/343 Industries, pioneering audio pipelines and leading innovation for Halo and other prized Microsoft franchises. He has a rich history as a creative executive, managing extensive AAA audio pipelines for leading clients such as Microsoft Studios, SEGA, 343 Industries, Ubisoft, LucasArts, 2K Games, EA and many more. Passionate about audio and the advancement of the video game industry, he served for six years as President of the Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G) and now serves on the Board of Directors of G.A.N.G. Lipson is an active speaker and presenter having conducted panels, lectures and master classes at universities and conferences around the world. He studied music for twenty-five years with a focus on jazz studies and classical/orchestral music. Notable project highlights include the recently announced Halo Wars 2, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Halo: Spartan Strike, Sunset Overdrive, Forza Motorsport 5, Kinect Disneyland Adventure, Iron Man 2 and Bioshock 2.
Beaman, who was recently named VP, Formosa Interactive, is excited to have Lipson on board. Beaman spent nearly a decade managing Soundelux Design Music Group's highly-accomplished Voiceover and Talent Services department before joining newly-formed Formosa Group in March 2013. Beaman will now oversee all business and finance operations for Formosa Interactive.
