CARDSTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Jan 13, 2016) - American Creek Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:AMK) ("American Creek") is pleased to provide a description of preparation for the 2016 program on its Electrum Property. The Electrum Project is 100% owned by American Creek and is located in the "Golden Triangle", a region well known for its vibrant exploration and mining activities, approximately 45km north of Stewart, British Columbia.
The Electrum Project (historic East Gold Mine) is located approximately 25km south of Pretivm's Brucejack Gold Mine, near past operating mines including the Riverside, Scotty Gold, Granduc, Big Missouri and Silbak-Premier. The Electrum is road accessible and is only 45km from world class concentrate shipping port facilities located in Stewart. Also, a new power line running right up the valley beside the Electrum property is now being constructed by Pretivm Resources.
The diamond drilling of fall 2015 used the newly recognized alteration sequences to successfully guide drill holes to mineralization.
This alteration sequencing is being used on surface outcrops to find new mineralized zones. Outcrop specimens collected representing the best mineralization available from several new occurrences have been sent for analysis and results are pending.
American Creek is using this new protocol to review the alteration sequence of core from holes previously drilled. This protocol is being used to outline unrecognized mineralized zones in what were previously considered unexplained high grade gold/silver intersections.
American Creek plans to continue its review of its significant database in order to develop additional new targets for 2016 exploration on the project.
The Qualified Person for the Electrum exploration program and for this news release is Alex Burton, P. Eng., P. Geo., for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101.
